eKiosk Settings

eKiosk is a service that allows patients to check in on their device or on the practice device to update their appointment status in D4W on their arrival at the practice. 

Once you have updated your D4W to build 5685 due out week of 26/8/2024, the eKiosk General Setting should be visible. If not Contact us to turn on.

Setup

  1. Location Setup > General tab > Group: eKiosk Settings

    1. Enable eKiosk as a web service = Yes 
      This enables D4W to connect to eKiosk as a web service.

    2. Enable Self Check in eKiosk (Local) = Yes
      This enables D4W to connect to eKiosk for location.

    3. Redirect to eForms on Patient Arrival = Yes
      Patients can be redirected to eForms after completing check in.

    4. Check in start time = -30 (recommended)
    5. Check in end time = 60 (recommended)
      The amount of time the system will search for a patients appointment from the current time. Its recommended to set it for 30 mins in the past and 60 mins in the future. This is to ensure the privacy for the patient. If the booked appointment is out of this time frame it will say there is no booking found.
