Whilst National Dental Plan can be used to cover “the gap”, we recommend that the practices process the purchase agreement for the whole of the treatment, and then the patient can follow up with the practice later to claim their rebate once treatment has been completed.
This is because a patient/practice may not know what the rebate will be until treatment has been completed.
The patient could then either use these funds to make a payment against their payment plan or pocket the funds.
