MediaSuite New Features Release - Build 4.042

The following new and enhanced features are available in Build 4.042 and higher.

New and Enhanced Features 

DICOM Modality Worklist (MWL) SCU

The patient and study information can be imported into Mediasuite from the hospital information system using the DICOM Modality Worklist service - Instructions

DICOM Storage SCU

This feature allows sending images to a DICOM archive - Instructions 

DICOM Automatic Store SCU

If the ‘Automatic DICOM store’ option is selected in the ‘DICOM configuration settings’ all images that are captured from a hardware device or are imported or pasted into Mediasuite, will be automatically sent to the DICOM store.

Images that are imported from a DICOM source or are imported after conversion will not be automatically sent to the DICOM server even if this option is on.

DICOM Storage Commitment SCU

This feature checks the status of the images which were previously sent to the server (PACS) by the DICOM Store - Instructions 

DICOM Query/Retrieve SCU

The Query / Retrieve feature allows the search and retrieval of the patient, study, series, and image data from other DICOM workstations or DICOM archives (PACS) - Instructions 

Mediascan interface - auto-connect in Network mode

Mediasuite automatically detects the status of the Mediascan scanner and immediately connects once the scan by another PC is finished and the device becomes available for connection. Don’t need to reopen Mediascan interface in the Mediasuite once the scan by another surgery room is finished. 

Video recording compression

The implemented compression mechanism allows recording full HD video not disturbing the smoothness of the performance while reducing storage used.

Fixes

The following issues have been resolved in the upgrade.

• MediaScan 2 interface crash when the scanner is unpowered

• Video duration absent for some videos in window Process Properties/Diagnoses

• Opening large image crashes Mediasuite

• CMScan support to Apixia PSP scanner

• CMS crash when exporting to not existing folder

Maintenance

• CMS update email and web site address in the About and Registration interfaces

• UI Refresh should update the DICOM statuses

• Sirona dental Unit interface to access all 3 buttons of the Foot Control

• DICOM Store add a flag to Redo DICOM store for selected objects
