An Allergy can only be deleted if no patients have been assigned to it.
Delete Allergies

Go to Location Setup > Allergy/Med tab

Select the Allergy and click Delete

Click Yes to delete the Allergy
Mark Allergies as Inactive

Go to Location Setup > Allergy/Med tab

Select the Allergy and untick Is Active
